Vibe Credit Union presents Barktoberfest, an Oktoberfest celebration where dogs are invited to participate in fun activities throughout the weekend. The event will take place in Memorial Park (13 Mile & Woodward Ave) in Royal Oak on September 11 & 12 from 11a.m – 6p.m. Hosted by the Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce and 360 Event Productions, this event is centered around craft beer, live music, pet-related shopping, lure coursing and contests.

Many dogs love the thrill of the chase! New this year, Lucky Dogs Lure Coursing will be on-site both days. The object to the game is to catch the lure! Bring your pup to join in on the fun. Open during event hours. *additional fee

It’s not every day you can enjoy great eats and listen to live music with hundreds of dogs! It wouldn’t be an Oktoberfest celebration without ice cold seasonal brews from Griffin Claw Brewing Company (GCBC), Saugatuck Brewing Company and Atwater Brewery. Plus, the bar will feature Tito’s Handmade Vodka, and Makers Mark.

Music Line Up:
11 a.m. – 2 p.m. - Just 3 Guitars
3 p.m. – 6 p.m. - Half Light Music

11 a.m. – 2 p.m. – Jason Waggoner vs Andy Patalan
3 p.m. – 6 p.m. - The Orbitsuns

Barktoberfest will feature over 30 pet related vendors featuring pet fashions, unique gifts, homemade goods, dog food companies and much more.

Guests are encouraged to bring their dogs (on a 6 ft. or shorter leash) to the event so that their furry friends can enjoy the sounds and entertainment and perhaps even compete in the Pug Run, Costume Contest, Corgi, Chihuahua and Wiener Dog Races. Registrations for these contests take place each day at the DJ booth on the main stage. Prizes, donated by participating sponsors and exhibitors, will be given out during the weekend.
